Set up a tarp shelter, light a fire, cook a meal and sleep out in the wild woods

You'll learn how to set up a tarpaulin shelter to sleep out overnight in the wild woods. Then you'll practice the art of firelighting and set it up for cooking your evening meal over your fire. You'll also learn some important things about setting up camp in the wild.

You’ll learn how to use a knife and other cutting tools safely. Sitting round the fire you can have a go at a few different bushcraft skills such as making nettle string or toasting forks.

Duration: 15.00 to 09.00

Cost: 60 per family group (2 to 4 people, children 8 to 16 years) (30 per additional adult, 15 per additional child).

The activity leader is qualified through the Institute for Outdoor Learning to teach bushcrafts to groups and has been involved in bushcrafts and teaching woodland skills for over 30 years. All our leaders are DBS checked.
