Family bushcrafts: build a shelter, light a fire, cook a meal, make something to take away

You’ll need to build a shelter, your own den in the woods. You’re going to eat so you’ll build and light your own family camp fire (but no matches!). You’ll cook your food including making some bread cakes on the embers and finish off with camp fire popcorn. Sitting round the family bushcrafts camp fire you can have a go at making a pea-shooter or a string bracelet from nettles!

Duration: 3.5 hours (can be extended to a full day with additional activity options - please contact us to discuss)

Cost: 75 per family of up to 4 (children aged 5 to 16 years) 15 per additional person
         (150 for the full day option family as above, 25 per additional person)

Further information: Maximum of two children per adult on family bushcrafts. Children should be 5 years or over. Bring your own food to make kebabs/BBQ.

The family bushcrafts activity leader is qualified through the Institute for Outdoor Learning to teach bushcrafts to groups and has been involved in bushcrafts and woodland skills for over thirty years. He is DBS cleared.
